Pete Dwyer, owner and president of Dwyer Realty Companies, has focused on innovative real estate development in Central Texas for more than 40 years. Pete Dwyer grew up in Austin, Texas in the Westlake area, with his love for science and the outdoors leading him to study microbiology at the University of Texas. Since the completion of his first real estate transaction (while still a freshman in college), Dwyer has been hooked on real estate and, for more than 40 years, has enjoyed the pursuit of real estate projects in and around Central Texas.
One of the few developers included in Austin’s exclusive Green Builder Program, Pete is dedicated to sustainability practices and environmental awareness. Dwyer projects have won numerous regional awards, including the Austin MAX award for Best Subdivision (twice), Parade of Homes Host Selection (twice), and the San Antonio Summit Award, among many other distinctions. Pete is an Austin RECA Board Member (Real Estate Council of Austin), HCA Board Member (Hill Country Alliance), CATC Member (Capital Area Transportation Committee), ECT Executive Board Member (Envision Central Texas), and is often a featured speaker at ULI, NAHB, 2023 and 2024 Power Player of the Year and other notable industry events. Pete lives in Steiner Ranch with his wife, Misti, and his four children, Jordan, Johannah, Colton, and Hunter.
